What to expect

Visiting a church for the very first time can be an exciting thing, but it can also be an intimidating experience. All kinds of questions come to the front of your mind. Where do I go when I get there? Is there anything for my kids? What should I wear? What should I expect? Because of all of these questions, we want to provide you answers for them so that your visit to Beacon Baptist Church is enjoyable and refreshing for your entire family. Below are some of the answers to these questions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

For the kids

Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. There is a safe, clean, and quality staffed nursery for children under three years old. Mother with infants can sit in the nursing area and listen to a direct audio feed of the service. For children three years old through fifth grade, there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with friendly and well-qualified teachers who will make church exciting and helpful for your child.

FAQ's

Is there nursery available?

Yes.  We do have a nursery available for children ages newborn-2 years old.  You will find a safe, secure environment where every volunteer is concerned with the well being of your child. To ensure a high level of safety, each of our volunteers has been approved through a screening process including a background check.

To ensure the safety and security of your child, we have implemented a system called KidCheck. The parent/guardian of each child must create a profile for their child before they are placed into a classroom. This insures that our volunteers can contact you during the service should the need arise. It also allows us to know about any specific needs of your child regarding allergies. You can create a KidCheck account once you visit the church, or you can take care of this step ahead of time by creating a profile online.

If you have any questions about our nursery, please contact our KidLife Pastor, Tim Rabon Jr.

What should I expect in the worship service?

Our worship service always begins with Christ-honoring music and worship. It is our practice to take up an offering in the worship service. Please do not feel that you must give in this offering. Our church is supported solely upon the giving of our members, and we do not expect you as our guest to put any money in the offering plate. Our services always conclude with a message that is based out of the Word of God.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Beacon Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Beacon Baptist Church.

What should I expect when I arrive?

When you arrive at Beacon Baptist Church, you will find the main parking area located in the front of the building. You will find parking attendants that will help and assist you in the parking lot. As you enter our church, greeters will assist you in escorting every member of your family to their age-appropriate class. Sunday morning service begins at 10:30AM, so plan to arrive about 20 minutes before.
